For over 20 years, residents have attended A Day for Children to obtain, process, and understand basic medical information that will help them make informed health decisions for their children and families.
The event showcases free and low-cost health and wellness services for children from birth to 16 years of age. Health care education and activities for vision, medical, speech, behavior, and dental health as well as physical and occupational therapy will be provided through NSU Health Centers.
Students and faculty from several of NSU's colleges and centers will provide activities for the children attending this event. Free games, activities, and food will be provided. Local law enforcement and first responders will also be participating in activities throughout the day. NSU Library staff will be on-hand to provide Alvin Sherman Library cards for children and their families. Librarians will also share information about the library’s extensive resources on health and wellness.
