Celebrate National Arts and Humanities Month by learning about the different elements of art. This program series is best suited for children ages 5+.
NSU Art Museum's Assistant Education Curator Victoria Kaplan will deliver a virtual lesson on the featured Element of Art, engaging students in an in-depth critical thinking exercise that teaches them how to look at art and identify the elements used by the artist.
After the video lesson, children will create a piece of art using the featured element of art. All supplies are provided. Participants are strongly encouraged to attend each week in order to learn about and practice each element: line, shape, color, texture, form, value and space.
Major funding for Museum on the Move is provided by The Jerry Taylor & Nancy Bryant Foundation, The Amaturo Family Foundation, Inc., Lillian S. Wells Foundation Inc., Hudson Family Foundation, David and Susan Samrick Foundation, Wege Foundation, Paddock Family Foundation, Wells Fargo, Beaux Arts, and Friends of NSU Art Museum and Ted and Bill’s Charitable Fund of the Community Foundation of Broward.
