The free event features a stellar line up of celebrity Caribbean authors, poets, musicians and storytellers. Keynote will be given by Professor Kei Miller, University of Miami.
Dr. Opal Palmer Adisa, former head of the Institute of Gender and Development at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, and editor of the recently released 100+ Voices for Miss Lou, Poetry, Tributes, Interviews, Essays; Kei Miller, University of Miami lecturer, Professor Emerita Dr. Susan Davis, Christine Craig, Geoffrey Philp, Judith Falloon-Reid, Marcia Jackson and others.
Ettosi Brooks, Maxine Osbourne and Maxine Plummer will entertain the children with dancing and storytelling.
As a special attraction for the kids, The Broward West Regional Library, will have a story window featuring Jamaica Maddah Goose, written By Miss Lou.
During the event, The Tallawah Mento Orchestra led by the Council’s president, Colin Smith, will provide live music.
The event will feature a vendors arcade.
