This summer join the NSU Art Museum Docent Speakers Bureau for an illustrated talk focused on the Theory of Color and History of Art in celebration of “Color Our World/ Colorea Nuestro Mundo”.
Is This Art? Appreciating Connections in Modern and Contemporary Art: This program looks at a selection of 20th and 21st century art and asks about artists' motivations and our response to the emotional content of their work. It starts with Vermeer's painting and moves through cubism, surrealism and on to the engaging quilts of Bisa Butler. This program is presented by Marion Fass, a retired professor from Beloit College.
