Film screening and discussion.
The film screening is presented in an interactive format where the moderator and the audience discuss the main theme of the movie and the book vs. movie comparison. After the film screening, the participants should understand the movie’s portrayal of the daily struggles of ordinary people in China during a time of significant political upheaval. Sandy Xia is the founder and president of Vivid Education, which provides Chinese language programs to individuals and local schools. It manages the CASEC Academic Club, which organizes various activities for students to promote their learning of Chinese literacy and participation in community services.
