Preschoolers enjoy a Japanese picture story. Sponsored by the Broward Public Library Foundation and the PNC Grow Up Great Foundation.
Through a Kamishibai (Japanese picture story), discover a folk tale from Japan. Afterward, have fun with a related hands-on activity!
(Kamishibai, literally “paper theater” in Japanese, is a form of storytelling that combines a set of standard-size illustrated paper cards paired with a scripted performance by a narrator).
Kon and Pon: In this story, Kon, a fox, and Pon, a raccoon dog, who live on different sides of a mountain river become friends. Their families have never gotten along, but Kon and Pon’s friendship changes everything.
