PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR:
- Wednesday, March 11 - Lastingness: How some artists change as they age. Or we can't all be Mick Jagger.
- Wednesday, May 13 - Exploring the Diversity of Jewish Artistry (Jewish Heritage Month)
-
Wednesday, July 8 - Substitute Program: Telling the story of America through Art- in celebration of America's 250 Birthday!
- We can learn a lot about American history through art in books, in public places and museums. It is important also to look at these works in the context of who the artist was and when and why the artwork was made. Many of the iconic representations of events were produced many decades after they happened. We will look at historical and contemporary visions of the United States to try to uncover some of the deeper meanings.
- NOTE: the following program will be scheduled at a later date: Exploring MoMA - the Famous, Fabulous, and Unforgettable!
- Wednesday, September 9 - Book Talk: Girl Braiding Her Hair by Marta Moinar
