The first 1,000 children arriving to the Festival will receive a free book. Children are encouraged to come to the Festival in costume and join the Storybook Parade.
Our Festival will include a full day of free programs and activities inside and outside the Library to include: author-illustrator to meet, shows to see, improv to join in, crafts to make, stories to hear by festival little ones, costumed characters to sign autograph books, stilt walkers to amaze all, music to dance to, facepainters to paint faces, virtual reality to be viewed, and so much more!
Meet author-illustrator Christopher Eliopoulos of The Yawns Are Coming!. He is also the illustrator of the New York Times bestselling Ordinary People Change the World series of picture book biographies. Eliopoulos has worked on thousands of stories in picture books and comics including Franklin Richards: Son of a Genius, Pet Avengers, and Cow Boy.

Legend comes to life on stage with this comic interactive show filled with original seafaring music, and an important lesson in finding friendship.

Katie Adams performs Star Stories: Greek Myths with colorful shadow puppets, storytelling and audience participation. See the stories and the star constellations that go with them! Stories include Pandora’s Box, Perseus and Pegasus, Icarus, and Baucis and Philemon.
Listen to two great storytellers, Pat Nease and Carrie Sue Ayvar: Award-winning storyteller Pat Nease known for her high energy, quick wit and wry humor. She's also a four-time Florida champion liar, but swears everything she tells is true, except for the parts she makes up. Carrie Sue Ayvar has been connecting, people, languages, cultures, and curriculum in both English and Spanish, for over forty years. Performing in diverse venues she is an award-winning Storyteller, Chautauqua Scholar and a National Credentialed Teaching Artist.

Fantasy Forest: Fairy tales come alive as you are led on a path through the enchanted forest to meet some of your favorite characters—Sleeping Beauty, Rumpelstiltskin, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, and more! Pick up tickets at the Box Office: (while supplies last!) *10am - for morning tours and *12:30pm - for afternoon tours. ***Registering with event bright does not secure a spot in the Fantasy Forest line – tickets need to be picked up the day of for the Fantasy Forest.
