Youth Program (Room 135)Celebrate Black Music Month with art, music, and an African American Story "Treemonisha". Ages 3 and up.
iLUMA (inter-generational Literacy Using Music and Art) is an arts integration program designed to use music, art, dance, and world culture to improve reading comprehension, listening and memory skills. Treemonisha is an African American story of how a young girl transforms her community through education. Participants sing and dance numbers from the original Scott Joplin opera.
