Join us for a talk on the environment and South Florida with Doug Young, COO for the South Florida Audubon Society.
Doug Young is an accomplished environmentalist, sustainability specialist, and conservation
advocate. He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the South Florida Audubon Society
and is a part-time Park Naturalist with the Environmental Management Group of Broward County
Parks and Recreation. Mr. Young holds a Masters of Environmental Studies degree from York
University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University. He is an award-winning
independent video writer, producer, and director for NGOs, government departments, public utilities,
and private sector organizations. Mr. Young is also involved in numerous conservation initiatives and
holds two Marine Turtle Permits from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
