Southeast Regional Behavioral Health Interagency Meeting
Foster Community Partnerships and Enhancing Quality of Care
Monday, July 13
10:30am - 12:30pm
A collaborative meeting hosted by the Department of Children and Families (Substance Abuse and Mental Health) to address opportunities for improving Florida's behavioral health system.
The Regional Behavioral Health Interagency Collaboration is a unified partnership that brings stakeholders together to address opportunities for improvement within Florida’s behavioral health system. Established to strengthen local efforts, this initiative works to enhance the accessibility, availability, and quality of behavioral health services by fostering community partnerships, promoting cross-agency collaboration, improving the crisis care continuum, and advancing data collection and management processes.
On behalf of the Southeast Region, we would like to invite you to join us for the upcoming Southeast Quarterly Regional Behavioral Health Interagency Collaboration Meeting on July 13, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center which is located at 2650 Sistrunk Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33311.
This quarter’s meeting will feature a panel discussion focused on the successes, impact, and lessons learned from the Southeast Region CORE Network. The discussion will also provide regional partners with a deeper understanding of how their organizations—including schools, law enforcement, Emergency Medical Services, Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Agency for Health Care Administration, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Health, Department of Education, Florida Department of Corrections, and other state agencies—can support, benefit from, and collaborate more effectively with CORE services.
The Coordinated Opioid Recovery (CORE) Network is a statewide initiative designed to create a comprehensive, integrated system of care for individuals experiencing substance use disorders, particularly opioid addiction. CORE connects emergency stabilization, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), behavioral health care, peer support, and long-term recovery services into a seamless continuum of care. Through its innovative approach to addressing the opioid crisis, CORE has expanded access to life-saving services and strengthened pathways to sustainable long-term treatment and recovery for Floridians and their families. By Fiscal Year 2025–2026, all 67 Florida counties will have launched or be onboarding a CORE Network, marking full statewide implementation.
We look forward to your participation and continued partnership as we work collectively to strengthen behavioral health outcomes across the Southeast Region.
