Join us for a powerful and healing pre-Mother's Day event at the West Regional Library in Plantation as we bring together the 10 authors of Daughters on the Journey, a book dedicated to navigating the grief of losing a mother. This special event is designed for women who have lost their mothers and are seeking a way to heal, honor their memories, and find comfort & peace during this poignant and emotional time of year.
After a successful launch in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2024, visionary author and founder April Y. Cunningham (Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Leader) is bringing the Daughters on the Journey event to Plantation!
Join April and the incredible authors of Daughters on the Journey as they come together to share deeply personal stories of grief, healing, and the life-altering journey of living without their mothers. This event will offer a warm and supportive environment where women can connect, reflect, and honor the legacies of their mothers. Whether you're seeking a space to process your emotions or simply want to celebrate the love that continues beyond loss, this gathering is a tribute to the powerful bond shared between mothers and daughters.
What to Expect:
· Book Tour Meet & Greet: Meet all 10 authors of Daughters on the Journey and hear their personal stories of grief, healing, and the journey of life without their mothers.
· Panel Discussion with Grief Experts: Gain insights and practical advice from leading grief experts on how to process loss and move forward in a healthy, supportive way.
· Healing Circle in Song: Experience the power of music and community in a unique healing circle. The circle will feature the heartfelt song A Mother's Love, which will guide the space in healing and remembrance, helping all attendees connect with the love and memories of their mothers.
· Tribute Wall for Messages to Mom: Take a moment to write a tribute to your mom, share memories, and leave heartfelt messages that will be displayed throughout the event.
· Grief Resource Library: A curated resource library will be available, listing grief counselors, local grief programs, and support services in the Broward County area. This will help you connect with ongoing support to continue your healing journey beyond the event.
This event is a safe, supportive space where daughters who have lost their mothers can come together to celebrate their lives, share their grief, and find solace through connection, discussion, and remembrance. Let’s honor the love and legacies of our mothers and heal together.
