"King Kong & the Lost Spider Pit Sequence"
Thursday, June 11
2:00pm - 5:00pm
Deerfield Beach Percy White Branch
Multipurpose RoomThe original B & W version of the "King Kong" starring Fay Wray. Featuring "The Lost Spider Pit Sequence."
One of the most hyped movies of 1976 was the Dino DeLauretiis version of "King Kong" and it was a disappointment.
Fresh from his award winning production of "The Lord of the Rings," Director Peter Jackson created his own version of "King Kong," with many technological improvements in 2005. Peter Jackson utilized the stop motion animation techniques of the original 1933 version and created "The Lost Spider Pit Sequence" from the original "King Kong," which may or may not have been filmed for the 1933 version.
The 1933 "King Kong" will be the version we will be screening today. This screening will also feature a guest appearance by the "Grandson of King Kong," a metal armature recreated from the original production of "King Kong."
