Ancient Egypt Inspired Craft
Tuesday, June 23
3:00pm - 5:00pm
Southwest Regional Library
Design StudioExplore the past by making a canopic jar inspired by real ancient Egyptian funerary vessels. This craft is part of the 2026 Summer Learning Program.
In this class we will be making a canopic jar in the ancient Egyptian New Kingdom/Late Period (c. 1550–330 BC) style. In this period of ancient Egyptian history, canopic jars were used as "dummy jars" and left empty in tombs. But you can use YOUR canopic jar to store anything you like!
