Ages: Students in grades 6-8 and 9-12 from Broward County are invited to participate. Each contestant may submit one entry.

Theme: In 2026, we celebrate 100 years since Dr. Carter G. Woodson founded Negro History Week, the foundation of Black History Month. This milestone, alongside 250 years of U.S. independence, highlights the courage and achievements of Black Americans. From the Selma bridge crossings to community acts of remembrance, students are invited to reflect on moments when individuals and communities crossed barriers for justice and equality, inspiring a more just future.
